The Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast

For more than 15 years, millions have turned to the Fit Bottomed Girls for their fun, fresh, and revolutionary approach to women’s health and fitness without the oh-so-common heaping side of diet culture BS. The Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast continues that legacy by educating and empowering women to be active, athletic and adventurous through the ups and downs of motherhood, midlife, and menopause. You should know: We don’t diet, we fuel our goals. We don’t just exercise for the scale, we work out and train for better quality of life. And we don’t invent or perpetuate shame-based descriptions of normal female body parts because we believe that fit bottoms can come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Here, we share real, relatable stories from women just like you as well as evidence-based strategies from our network of women’s health and fitness experts to support you as you pursue your big, brave goals and build your very own fit-bottomed life.

The newest ep of the Fit Bottomed Girls podcast is ready to download/stream now!

Episode 20 with Michelle Tam of Nom Nom Paleo

The FBGs had a blast talking to Michelle Tam of Nom Nom Paleo, who is a self-described “food nerd” with a degree in food science from UC Berkeley and a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of California at San Francisco. Michelle is one of the Paleo world’s most popular advocates with hundreds of thousands of followers on social media from around the world.

For the pre-show Margo, Jenn and Kristen talk about their individual eating plans and why they shy away from strict labels. They also each offer their favorite quick and healthy recipes that are their “go-to” on busy days (which is often, quite frankly!).

Topics covered in the interview with Michelle:

  • How and why Michelle went from vegetarian pharmacist, wife and mother to a Paleo superstar
  • How eating healthy can prevent medical issues
  • Details for her new cookbook that will offer quick and easy meals for every level of cook
  • The fact that she is NOT one of those Paleo people who plan out every meal during the week
  • How she gets her meals together on the fly
  • How the medical establishment is behind the times with the latest research on good and bad cholesterol
  • That finding a Paleo tribe can help you when you feel like you are living in “The Matrix”
