The Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast

For more than 15 years, millions have turned to the Fit Bottomed Girls for their fun, fresh, and revolutionary approach to women’s health and fitness without the oh-so-common heaping side of diet culture BS. The Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast continues that legacy by educating and empowering women to be active, athletic and adventurous through the ups and downs of motherhood, midlife, and menopause. You should know: We don’t diet, we fuel our goals. We don’t just exercise for the scale, we work out and train for better quality of life. And we don’t invent or perpetuate shame-based descriptions of normal female body parts because we believe that fit bottoms can come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Here, we share real, relatable stories from women just like you as well as evidence-based strategies from our network of women’s health and fitness experts to support you as you pursue your big, brave goals and build your very own fit-bottomed life.

The Fit Bottomed Girls Podcast

Podcast Episode 103: Patricia Moreno (Part 1)

At one point, fitness star Patricia Moreno was the highest paid instructor in New York City.   Consistently rated as “Best Instructor” year after year by top media outlets, the first hire of Equinox gyms when they launched in New York City and landing her dream gig as a daily national TV fitness segment on Breakfast Time--you would have thought she was living her best life.

Yet secretly she was depressed, anxious, and felt like a fraud bingeing & purging and using methamphetamines to manage her weight. Her fear of being seen shopping for food in public led many secret and shameful habits because her mantra at the time was “thin at any cost.”

Then Patricia decided to change her life.

Every once in a while, the FBGs interview someone who offers so many truth bombs that we need to offer it in two episodes. And wowzers--wait until you hear what Patricia has to say about turning the fitness industry on its ear!
